Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information

• Username, email address, and password (hashed)
• Profile picture (optional)
• Role (buyer, hunter, or admin)

Transaction information

• Bounties you create, submissions you make, and offers you accept or decline
• Card details, photos, and condition information
• Shipping addresses for buyer deliveries

Payment information

• For buyers: payment method tokens stored with Stripe or PayPal — we do not store your full card or bank account numbers
• For hunters: PayPal account identifier (verified via PayPal's "Log In with PayPal" flow), tax identification information (W-9) where required by law

Device and usage information

• IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
• Pages visited, actions taken, and timestamps
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)

We use your information to:

• Operate and improve the marketplace
• Process payments, authenticate cards, fulfill orders, and remit payouts
• Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and our services
• Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations
• Generate aggregated, non-identifying analytics about how the marketplace is used

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only as necessary to operate the marketplace:

• Payment processors: Stripe (cards and Klarna) and PayPal (PayPal payments and hunter payouts) receive transaction data necessary to process payments.
• Infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and authentication) and our hosting provider store account and transaction data on our behalf.
• Shipping carriers: UPS and other carriers receive name, address, and contact information to deliver insured shipments.
• Authentication and grading partners: where applicable, third parties that assist with card authentication may receive item-level information.
• Legal and regulatory authorities: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.
• Successors: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

The marketplace is designed so that buyers and hunters do not see each other's personal information. Buyers purchase from Wanted; hunters supply cards to Wanted. Neither party receives the other's name, address, or contact information through the marketplace.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. We may retain certain records longer where required by law (for example, transaction records for tax and accounting purposes). When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the marketplace is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Wanted is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the marketplace. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes took effect.
